Chapman Pennington was caught by surprise when he saw the athletic talent at Rejoice Christian School two years ago.

Bryan Mead, then a senior linebacker, was a few months away from joining Bob Stoops’ team in Norman. Hunter Perry and Avery Rothrock would soon win defensive scholarships at OBU, and there were others who pushed Pennington in team workouts.
