Brent MarleyHead Football Coach & Athletic Director
Brent Marley came to Rejoice as the head football coach and Athletic Director in the summer of 2015. Coach Marley taught and coached at Victory Christian School from 2002-2015. During his first year at Rejoice, Marley was named Class A-7 District Coach of the Year and led his team to the District Playoffs. Coach Marley is a graduate of Coweta High School and Oklahoma State University. His wife Misti also teaches and coaches at Rejoice. They have been married since 2000 and have 3 boys that attend Rejoice – Caden, Cale and Caison.
Casey WillisVarsity Baseball Coach & Asst. Athletic Director
Casey Willis graduated from Weaver High School, where he was an All-District, All-County, and All-Area Selection as a senior in football where he led the entire state in receptions. He was also an All-District, All-County, and All-Area Selection as a senior in baseball where he led the District and Area in home runs. Willis played 4 years of football at Evangel University in Springfield, Mo. He coached football at Victory Christian School in Tulsa for 8 years prior to joining Rejoice. Casey has been married to his wife Sarah for over 10 years and has 4 children.
Marty BarnettVarsity Strength and Conditioning Coach
Marty Barnett joined Rejoice Christian Schools in 2016. Barnett received his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Kansas State University and received his master’s degree in Health and Human Performance from Fort Hays State University. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Level 1 USA Weightlifting certified coach (USAW). Barnett has coached at the collegiate and high school levels, including Victory Christian and Moore High School. Barnett is married to April Barnett and they have three children – Isaac, Phoebe, and Eli.
Jared BennettAsst. Varsity Tennis Coach
Jared Bennett attended Claremore High School and played on the varsity tennis team. During his high school tennis career, Jared won the #2 doubles 4A state championship as a freshman, and also placed 2nd in the 4A state championship in #2 singles his senior year. After high school, Jared played tennis for Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) in Weatherford, OK. The journey to SWOSU led Jared to choose pharmacy as his career path. He currently owns two local pharmacies in the Owasso area – Bennett’s Route 66 Pharmacy in Claremore and Owasso Drug Pharmacy. Jared is married to his wife Stephanie, and they have four children. Two of their children attend Rejoice.
Amos BerryVarsity Boys Soccer Coach
Amos Berry coached at Oologah High School before coming to Rejoice in 2013. He has been the Head Boys RCS Soccer Coach since 2014 and led the RCS Boys Soccer team to its first playoff birth in school history in 2015. Coach Berry played soccer at Oologah and was an All-State awardee his senior year there. He continued his soccer career at Coffeyville Community College and continued on at DIV II Missouri Southern State where he was team captain and awarded academic conference first team honors. Berry has been married to Jennette for 18 years and has 4 children.
Zac BriscoeVarsity Boys Basketball and Girls Volleyball Coach
Zac Briscoe joined the Rejoice Christian Schools coaching staff in 2017. Briscoe graduated from Oral Roberts University in 2007 with a degree in Business Management. He has coached varsity volleyball and basketball for the last 12 years at several Tulsa-area private schools, including Summit Christian, Lincoln Christian and Victory Christian. He was named the Oklahoma Coaches Association Regional Volleyball Coach of the Year in 2014. Briscoe has been married to his wife Mallory for 9 years and has 2 sons – Karson and Hudson.
Luke CampbellAsst. Varsity Baseball Coach
Luke Campbell is an Owasso native and a graduate of Owasso High School. He was a 3 year starter on the Owasso High School baseball team. After high school, Campbell played 4 years of college baseball as a pitcher. He graduated college with an bachelor’s degree in finance and went back to college to earn his MBA. Campbell currently resides in Owasso. He has a son and daughter who attend Rejoice Christian Schools.
Joyce DeasonVarsity Golf Coach
Joyce Deason started the golf program at Rejoice Christian Schools over 10 years ago. Coach Deason started with about 30 students in a cow pasture next to the school, using all donated equipment. Since then, both the girls and boys golf teams have competed for about 8 years, the last 4 years in the OSSAA. Coach Deason led the boys team to become the OCSAA State Champions in 2011, and then the OSSAA State Champions in 2A in 2012 and 2013. Deason’s record with the girls team includes five Girls State Individual Champions in Class 2A.
Melissa HurstVarsity Girls Soccer Coach
Melissa Hurst is a native of Owasso and has been a teacher at Rejoice since 2014. She currently teaches 1st Grade at Rejoice Christian Schools. She received her B.S. in Elementary Education from Northeastern State University. Coach Hurst played high school and competitive soccer, coached youth soccer, and was the Rejoice Varsity Girls Assistant Soccer Coach during the 2016 season. She became the Varsity Girls Head Soccer Coach in 2017.
Brandon JohnsonVarsity Track Coach
Brandon Johnson graduated from Broken Arrow High School and went on to play football and run track at Southwest Baptist University. After transferring to Missouri Southern State College where he ran track, Johnson graduated in 2002. He coached at Broken Arrow from 2009-2012 and came to Rejoice in 2012. During his time at Rejoice, Johnson has coached baseball, football and Jr. High basketball. He currently coaches the Jr. High and Varsity Track and Field Team.
Jackie KnoxHead Varsity Tennis Coach
Jackie Knox has played competitive tennis for over 11 years on multiple teams and recently competed in the National Championships 2 years in a row. She and her husband Russell have been part of the Rejoice family for 16 years. Knox and her husband have been married for over 27 years and have been members of Rejoice Church for 18+ years. She earned an MBA from Oklahoma City University and a Bachelor’s in Accounting from Northeastern State University.
Misti MarleyVarsity Cheerleading Coach
Misti Marley is a native Oklahoman, born and raised in the Tulsa area. After graduating from Broken Arrow High School, she attended college at Oklahoma State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Education. After leaving Stillwater, she and her husband Brent returned to the Tulsa area. At that time, they both felt the call to teach and coach at a Christian school. Together, she and Coach Marley have three boys – Caden, Cale, and Caison.
Trisha MooreVarsity Cross Country Coach
Trisha Moore is a runner who discovered her love for the sport as an adult. She has competed in road races of all distances up through a half marathon. Originally from Missouri, Trisha has been a busy stay-at-home mom since moving to Oklahoma. She and her husband, Dustin, have been married for 18 years. Their two children, Weston and Kelsey, attend Rejoice Christian Schools. Trisha has a Bachelor of General Studies degree with an emphasis in Psychology from Missouri Southern State University.
Jake RussellAsst. Varsity Baseball Coach
Jake Russell played baseball at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Oklahoma State University. In 1994, he was selected by the Philadelphia Phillies in the Major League Baseball June Amateur Draft. Russell played 7 professional seasons with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Cleveland Indians. He has been giving private baseball instruction since 1996 and has worked with players of all levels, even guiding several players to Major League Baseball. Russell has three children with his wife Kristi.
Jace SanchezAsst. Varsity Baseball Coach
Jace Sanchez is a Rejoice Christian Schools alumnus. He was a 4 year starter at Rejoice on the football and baseball teams. Sanchez was a member of the first baseball team at Rejoice as a freshmen, a program that means the world to him. His desire as an assistant coach is to give the players his all, so that they can unlock their full potential. Sanchez is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education.
Christie WilsonVarsity Girls Basketball Coach
Christie Wilson graduated from Owasso High School where she played basketball, volleyball, and softball. She then went on to The University of Tulsa where she was a member of the softball team and ended her career as a student coach. She graduated with a degree in Exercise and Sports Science and Education in 2005. After graduating, she went back to Owasso High School to teach and coach basketball, volleyball, and slow-pitch softball. During her 12 years at Owasso, she helped coach the 2008 State Championship volleyball team, the 2009 Academic State Championship volleyball team, the 20016 Academic State Championship basketball team and the 2018 State Championship basketball team. She has one daughter – Jaylee.
Scott ZingermanAsst. Varsity Boys & Girls Soccer Coach
Scott Zingerman played competitive soccer with Tulsa Soccer Club in high school. He went on to play college soccer at Southwest Baptist University. He has a passion for the game and loves how it can be used to unite people and share the love of Christ with others. Zingerman spent time doing mission work in Guatemala and the Ivory Coast and used soccer to transcend cultural and language barriers to establish relationships.
